Sharjah's property sector has demonstrated robust growth, recording Dh46.8 billion in real estate transactions during the first nine months of 2026. This marks a 5.6% increase from Dh44.3 billion recorded in the same period last year. The surge is primarily fueled by sustained investor interest alongside growing real estate development activities across the emirate.
The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department reported a 14% rise in the total number of transactions, reaching 91,560 in 2026 compared to 80,320 last year. Title deed transactions grew by 11.2% to 34,420, while initial sales contracts totaled 11,258. Mortgage-related transactions stood at 3,839, with a combined value of Dh10.2 billion, facilitated by 31 financial institutions.
Total property sales saw a modest increase of 2.1%, amounting to 24,749 transactions valued at Dh35 billion. These deals spanned 216 areas covering an expansive 138 million square feet. Muwaileh Commercial emerged as the top-selling area with 3,440 transactions valued at Dh3.9 billion, followed by Al Btayha's Al Bleida with 2,728 deals worth Dh1.8 billion. Other notable areas included Al Khan with 1,581 transactions valued at approximately Dh2 billion, Mazerah with 1,115 deals, and Al Saja'a Industrial tallying 991 transactions.
Residential properties dominated the market, comprising 19,910 transactions or 80.5% of total sales. Industrial properties accounted for 3,524 transactions (14.2%), commercial properties 1,295 deals (5.2%), and agricultural properties a minimal 0.1%. The emirate also witnessed the registration of 22 new residential, industrial, and commercial developments, underscoring ongoing sector expansion.
Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, credited the market's positive performance to the visionary leadership and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He highlighted that these figures reflect the strength and sustainability of Sharjah’s property market.
For real estate agents, Sharjah’s rising property transactions and development activities represent a significant opportunity to engage a growing pool of buyers and investors, particularly in residential segments. Staying informed about key areas like Muwaileh Commercial and Al Btayha can help agents target high-demand locations effectively.
