Dubai's completed real estate projects attracted over $30 billion in H1 2026, up 52%, showing robust investor confidence despite global challenges.
Investments in completed real estate projects across Dubai surged impressively in the first half of 2026, highlighting the sector’s resilience despite geopolitical tensions such as the Iran war. According to recent data from the Dubai Land Department (DLD) reported by Wam, the total value of investments in completed developments reached Dh111 billion ($30.2 billion), marking a 52% increase compared to Dh73 billion during the same period in 2025.
The number of completed projects during these six months rose nearly 39%, climbing from 75 to 104. Residential supply led the expansion, with available units topping 24,500 – a 36% rise year-over-year.
Built-up areas ready for handover expanded by almost a quarter to 1.95 million square meters. Meanwhile, the total land area allocated for completed developments more than doubled to approximately one million square meters. The value of land set aside for future projects also surged by 135%, reaching Dh19.46 billion.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, emphasized the increased volume of transactions, growth in project numbers, and elevated investment as a clear sign of global business and investor confidence in Dubai's economic environment.
He stated, “The significant increase in the volume of real estate transactions, the number of projects and the value of investment inflows into these projects represents a renewed vote of confidence from the global business community and investors in the strength of Dubai’s economic environment.”
Despite the ongoing regional instability, Dubai’s property market remains a cornerstone of the UAE’s economy — the Arab world’s second largest. The sector's strength is affirmed by continued buyer interest and investments, supported by Dubai's reputation as a leading real estate investment destination. The UAE Property Investment Index by Arada, released in June 2026, confirmed that the market retained its momentum in the face of recent challenges.
Dubai, famed for iconic landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab, continues to expand its real estate portfolio with major projects. Notably, developer Dar Global recently contracted Gulf Asia Contracting to construct the podium for the $1 billion Trump International Hotel and Tower.
Additionally, Nakheel has commenced the handover process for 892 villas and townhouses in the newly redeveloped Jebel Ali Village near Ibn Battuta Mall.
Sheikh Hamdan highlighted Dubai’s commitment to sustainable urban development that supports population and economic growth, while maintaining high standards of quality of life. This vision strengthens Dubai’s position as a prime real estate hub attracting steady investment and creating new opportunities for long-term growth.
For agents operating in Dubai's property market, these figures underline a vibrant and expanding sector with strong buyer interest and investment inflows. Staying informed on completed project availability and upcoming handovers can help agents capitalize on a growing pool of interested investors and homeowners seeking quality residential options. Agents should also leverage Dubai’s global reputation to attract a diverse international clientele ready to invest in this resilient market.
